81: Rediscovering yourself through writing with Angie Bailey

Can you rediscover yourself through writing?

On today's episode of The Happiness Habits Transformation podcast, I'm sharing a wonderful conversation I had this Summer with personal trainer and fellow writer Angela Bailey.

Angie is the author of the magical fantasy book Believe, which was a finalist in three categories of the Readers' Choice Awards, (Best Children’s Book, Best Teen Book, & Best Adult Book) and was also awarded the Literary Titan silver book award.

Angela talks about how rediscovering writing at a very challenging time of her life helped her to regain her self-confidence, reconnect with her body and allowed her to prioritise herself again.

In our conversation today, you'll discover:
🎧 The surprising similarities between writing and exercise
🎧 How creativity can provide a personal space for reflection
🎧 The small daily habit that kick starts her day with achievement
🎧 How ditching one emotion became a fundamental part of her new routine
🎧 The link between realistic expectations, habits and success
🎧 Angie's own end of day gratitude practice

Angela also talks about how she didn't feel she was good enough to be a writer and how she overcame that imposter syndrome - if you've ever wanted to write a book, this episode might just give you the inspiration to get started!

While you're listening today, think about how you can take what you learn and put it into practice. Take action in any way that's meaningful for you my friends, but do take action!
