83: The Power of Connection with Victoria Welton

See this content in the original post

How can simple habits help you through the most challenging times in your life?

In today's very personal episode, I'm delighted to be joined by award-winning photographer, radio presenter and blogger Victoria Welton. Vic shares the incredible challenges that she has had to overcome, from removing herself from an abusive relationship and battling endometriosis to discovering she carried an extremely rare chromosome disorder that affected her fertility journey with her current partner, and filming that journey hoping it would help others. In this emotional interview, Vic also shares her experiences of miscarriage, IVF, pre-eclampsia and how she and her husband have coped through his own recent health issues and Vic beginning her perimenopause journey.

In our conversation, you'll hear about:

- How Vic discovered her love of photography after years of trying different creative pursuits and how her life experiences and challenges help her connect so strongly with her clients

- How implementing one particular Happiness Habit (after reading my book) helped Vic during the perfect storm of Covid lockdown, her husband's extreme health issues, Vic's menopause symptoms, all while raising a teenager and a toddler

- Why Vic had to re-prioritise and remove elements of her life that no longer served her to enable her to move forward with her passion for photography

- The importance of Vic's personal and family routines and habits - in particular the habit of connection - and how they support her daily

- Vic's #1 tip for staying positive

- ...and how Ed Sheeran helped her during labour!

This is such an inspirational interview and one that I hope you enjoy listening to as much as I enjoyed recording it with Vic.

While you're listening today, think about how you can take what you learn and put it into practice. Take action in any way that's meaningful for you my friends, but do take action!
